JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Overview:  Overall experience in design, development, testing of hardware embedded boards with Microcontroller, Microprocessor DSP’s and FPGA based projects.

Education 

A graduate/ Postgraduate in Electronics/ Electrical or related disciplines with experience in digital and mixed signal design.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Responsible for Circuit design, Schematics design, working with PCB layout engineers to come up with the design.
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing team for Manufacturing, Board bring up testing and Working with SW team for completion of Boards testing.
  • Work as per the schedule and complete the deliverables as provided by HW Lead / Manager as per the schedule, Project plan defined.
Skills
  • Hands on experience in working commercial/ industrial/Automotive domain projects from specifications till delivery.
  • Experience in any one of the schematic capture tools like Cadence Orcad, allegro PCB layout design tool, signal analyzing or simulation tools hyperlynx and PCB board bring up activities.
  • Experience in Power supply Switchers / LDOs / Mixed signal designs / Digital designs (8, 16, 32-bit micro-controller / ARM controller design).
  • Experience in design circuits with USB, I2C, SPI, RS232, ADC, DAC, SDR, DDR, Flash Memory IC Interfaces.
  • Experience in hardware design analysis like power calculations, worst case analysis will be a plus.
  • Hands on experience of test equipments like DSO, Multimeters, Signal analyzer etc.
  • Experience / Knowledge about Compliance certification / pre-certification compliance testing of products will be a plus.
  • Good team player.
  • Preferred Tools Experience in any one of the schematics and Layout Tool. Cadence Allegro OrCAD / Mentor Graphics PADS.
Good to have:

Deep understanding of the FPGA and DSP architectures.

  • Expertise in signal integrity for boards involving several Gigabit SERDES lanes and protocols.
  • Deep understanding of PCB design techniques for Network, RF and wireless systems.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
Required Skill
  • Good knowledge in Solid works.
  • Sound knowledge of design and Manufacturing engineering principles and best practices.
  • Thermal and structural analysis is added advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to design sheet metal, Machining, metal, and plastic components.
  • Good knowledge in Manufacturing drawing, GD&T and BOM
  • Good Knowledge in 3D printing and injection moulding, Die casting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • The ability to stay abreast of advancements in technology and engineering design trends.
  • Co-ordinate to Vendor relationship and material inspection.
  • Electronics product design is added advantage.

An Antenna Engineer is a specialized professional responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining antennas used in a wide range of communication systems which includes Telecommunications with 4G and 5G NR, broadcasting technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strong understanding of electromagnetic theory, wave propagation, and antenna theory.
  • Design and prototype antennas for various communication systems, ensuring they meet the performance requirements for range, frequency, and sensitivity.
  • Use simulation software (such as CST, HFSS, or ADS) to model and test antenna performance before physical prototypes are built.
  • Knowledge of RF testing equipment (e.g., Network analyzers, Spectrum analyzers).
  • Familiarity with materials and technologies used in antenna design, such as microstrip antennas, phased arrays, and radomes.
  • Conduct rigorous testing of antenna prototypes and final designs in lab, field environments including anechoic chambers.
  • Evaluate antenna performance in various real-world environments, accounting for variables such as interference, signal attenuation, and multipath effects.
  • Optimize antenna arrays and configurations to ensure consistent performance in complex environments.
  • Work closely with electrical engineers, RF (Radio Frequency) engineers, and system engineers to integrate antennas into larger communication systems.
  • Work closely with inter disciplinary team (Mechanical, CAD, etc)
  • Document designs, testing procedures, and results to maintain a clear record of development and modifications.
  • Ensure all antennas comply with industry standards and regulations for safety, performance, and reliability.
  • Work with manufacturing teams to ensure that antenna designs are produced to the required quality specifications.
  • Experience in specific antenna types like array antennas, MIMO (Multiple Input, Multiple Output), or directional antennas.
  • Familiarity with software-defined radio (SDR) and its application in antenna systems
  • In some industries (e.g., aerospace or defense), travel to customer sites or remote locations may be required.
Qualifications and Experience:
Educational Background:
  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, RF, Microwave, Communications Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
  • Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in antenna design or relevant fields
  • Experience with antenna design and development in industries such as telecommunications,
  • aerospace, or defense.
  • Previous experience working with wireless communication standards (e.g., 3GPP, Wi-Fi, MilStd).
Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot and refine designs.
Role:

Manager for Production Engineering for Aerospace and Defence division

Essential:
  • A Bachelors or Masters in any of the Electrical/ Electronics disciplines alongwith 10+ years of experience in related work discipline
  • Proven experience with various production processes – reflow, manual, hybrid and mechanical processes. Expertise in handling various packages from through hole to complex BGA’s and PoP’s.
  • Proficiency with Machine and flow profiles, proficiency with AOI and X-Ray report inspections and all IG inspections.
  • Should have handled complex designs and managed a line hands-on with yield responsibility
  • Accountable for stores in and out, IGI and GRN’s, and Kitting
  • Accountable for all stage clearances with Aero-space and defence customers and all material clearances where CEMILAC/ DGAQA/ R&QA processes are involved with various MOD labs and other defence units.
  • Responsibility for inspections and clearances according to IPC: 600 – Class 3 for PCBs, IPC: 610 H for PCBA and IPC: 620 for cable harness
  • Proven ability to give design inputs to E-CAD and M-CAD relating to manufacturing processes and yield trade-off’s
  • Proven ability to independently review assembly output and take corrective actions wherever necessary
  • Proven ability with documentation tools
  • Proven ability to independently face a Defense process review and take the design through to clearance. Experience with six sigma, 5S, FMEA.
  • Thoroughness in documentation and standards, ECO, ECN, QAP, MDI, IPD etc.,
  • Handle procurement and proven ability in vendor management, supply chain and purchase
  • Good people skills for easy and effective interface to Electrical, and Mechanical design teams and lab staff
Desirable:
  • Past experience in assembly line supervision and engineering in Aerospace and defence domain
  • Past experience in handling aerospace qualifications and CEMILAC related type testing and development
  • Ability to develop test jigs and validation jigs
  • Expertise in test automation and yield enhancement techniques
  • Any CAD related expertise focused towards DFM and DFT
  • Ability with test and measurement equipment
  • Exposure to microelectronics and communication equipment manufacturing
Education

A Graduate/ Postgraduate in Electronics or related disciplines.

Required Skills and knowledge
  • 4G/5G domain knowledge
  • Familiar with 3GPP specifications.
  • Good understanding of LTE (PHY, MAC, RRC) layers, air interface and calls processing, QoS concepts.
  • Familiar testing concepts for wireless products.
  • Air interference, Mobility testing experience in LTE (UE/eNode-B).
  • Well versed with tools like – Channel emulators/VSG/VSA, QXDM, Wireshark etc.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Developing and execution of test cases for 5G gNB.
  • Filing and reporting/tracking defects for failed test cases
  • Follow up with DEV team for open defects

What will you do:

 You will be part of an energetic team working of next generation and present-day problems in the world of Wireless communication in the areas of Tactical communication, 4G and 5G.

You will be responsible for RF Firmware bring-up, configuration, development of testing around RF transceivers (Analog Devices AD9361, AD9375, ADRV9026/9, ADRV9002, TI DAC’s and ADC’s, Xilinx RFSoC).

You will work on signal chain implementation on variety of wireless communication products, build cores and interfaces that enable high speed data paths and provide technical leadership in challenging design flows.

Education:

A graduate/ Postgraduate in Electronics/ Electrical/ Instrumentation or related disciplines experience in design and development of Wireless systems involving these high-speed transceivers and front ends

Required Skills:
  • Being proficient in C/Matlab.
  • Possess good understanding of ADC/ DAC and Transceiver architectures and signal chains.
  • Be proficient in signal processing – analyzing signal captures, deep understanding of dynamic range issues, AGC, DPD, CFR.
  • Be proficient in implementation flow of one or more data link products.
  • Be proficient in understanding of general DSP architecture, FPGA interfaces such as JESD, 10G Ethernet etc….
  • Be proficient in understanding hardware and embedded interfaces for bringup.
  • Possess ability to clearly interact with Hardware, and embedded functions.
  • Be a good communicator in design and debug flows.
Good to have:
  • Understanding of communication signal chains.
  • Prior experience of working on Wireless communication system, Radio integration, DSP fundamentals.
