Venus HC – LW-VHC1700-X6

Venus HC is an SDR platform with three independently programmable dual-channel advanced wide band radio transceivers and high-end computing targeted for building advanced radio applications. The platform kit provides a jump start for designers of wireless, cable, EW radar or high-performance Radio applications. The platform offers a powerful TI DSP K2K SoC with 8 DSP core and 4 ARM cores along with many HW accelerations suitable for developing communication technologies. The DSP SoC is integrated to a Xilinx UltraScale FPGA over SRIO interface. There are three AD937x devices from Analog Devices integrated to FPGA over JESD interface. The Kintex class FPGA has resources to implement front end signal processing algorithms like DDC/DUC/Channel filters/ Crest Factor reduction etc. for up to 6 antenna systems. The FPGA drives several IO pins for accurate sample level control of elements. The platform is used for testing both TDD and FDD application using LTE UE and eNodeB waveforms. The platform is capable of supporting 100MHz 5GNR Waveforms.

The system is designed to support high RF power transmission with feedback paths to implement power amplifier linearization techniques (DPD) and CFR for OFDM waveform. The radio transceivers have phase and frequency synchronization makes it an ideal choice for implementing multi antenna beamforming.
